Styhead Path, Great Gable – Wed 27th Jul 2016 – Callout 36 in 2016

Team called by Police about a walker who had fallen and injured her wrist. She was given analgesia on scene and the limb was splinted then the walker was evacuated from the mountain to West Cumberland Hospital.

Piers Gill, Scafell Pike – Sat 25th Jun 2016 – Callout 30 in 2016 (limited)

We were called by Police about a walker who had become separated from her group and got lost. Using Sarloc we were able to position her at the head of Piers Gills and small team went out to escort her off the hill.

Gavel Neese, Great Gable – Thu 23rd Jun 2016 – Callout 29 in 2016

We were called by Police about a young lady on a DofE trip who had scalded her leg with hot water and was in significant pain. She was given pain relief and her wounds dressed before being evacuated to a waiting ambulance.

Brown Tongue, Scafell Pike – Tue 21st Jun 2016 – Callout 27 in 2016 (limited)

Team called by Police this evening to help rescue a dog with sore paws from Scafell Pike. The owners managed to get it almost to the stream crossing on Brown Tongue after bandaging up the paws then team members carried it the rest of the way in a large rucksack.
