Rough Crag, Scafell Pike – Sat 30th Aug 2014 – Callout 42 in 2014 (limited)

The team was called out to help a group of five lost walkers down from the Rough Crag area of Scafell Pike. We determined their location using Sarloc and gave them directions to Mickledore where we met them and walked them down to Wasdale Head.

Scar Lathing, Upper Eskdale – Fri 29th Aug 2014 – Callout 41 in 2014 (limited)

The team was contacted by 2 walkers who lost their bearings whilst descending Scafell Pike. Initially we spoke to them somewhere near Scar Lathing in Upper Eskdale and provided directions to get to Eskdale valley. Lingmell Col, Scafell Pike – Mon 25th Aug 2014 – Callout 39 in 2014

The team was called out to attend a lady near to Lingmell Col with a suspected broken ankle. She was treated on scene and then stretchered down to Wasdale Head via Lingmell Nose.

Burnmoor Tarn – Thu 21st Aug 2014 – Callout 38 in 2014 (limited)

The team received a call for help from a female who was lost near to Burnmoor Tarn. She was quite distressed and would not move so the team deployed a small number of members to guide her back to the Wasdale valley.

Napes, Great Gable – Wed 20th Aug 2014 – Callout 37 in 2014 (limited)

The team was called to assist a mother and son stuck on scree in Great Hells Gate on Great Gable. The team helped them down the scree and escorted them to Sty Head where they descended to their car in Borrowdale.

Scafell Pike – Sat 16th Aug 2014 – Callout 36 in 2014 (limited)

The team was called by a pair of walkers lost near the summit of Scafell Pike. Their location was determined using SARLOC and a team member already on the hill went to their aid. Whilst descending another group of six who were struggling were also walked down to Wasdale Head.
