We were called by Police about 2 walkers reporting themselves lost between Lingmell and Sty Head. It was only possible for the walkers to talk to Police via 999 calls on their phone poor signal. Between us and Police we managed to locate the walkers close to Lingmell Beck, which is the river that flows from Sty Head towards Wasdale Head. They were walked off the fell by a team member then taken to our base in a team vehicle.
Incident started at 22:10 and ended at 01:10 making 3 hrs in total. There were 7 Wasdale team members involved. Total rescuer hours: 21
