The team was contacted after a family had reported themselves lost, with their last known position being the Styhead stretcher box. Due to the location Keswick MRT had also been called and were trying to establish contact. Â Once contact was made, as the family were wanting to go to Seathwaite they sent a team member up to escort them off the hill.
Incident started at 19:29 and ended at 22:30 making 3 hrs in total. There was 1 Wasdale team member involved and the incident occured at NY2186009500 (altitude 482 m). Total rescuer hours: 3
