This time next week one of our team members will have set off running from Pooley Bridge in the northern Lake District back to Wasdale, attempting to complete the Joss Naylor Lakeland Challenge.

John Fletcher hopes to run 48 miles, climb 17,000 feet and cross 30 summits and is fundraising for Wasdale MRT. (The route is included in comments)
Joss Naylor MBE is a legendary Fell runner and completed the inaugural run from Pooley Bridge in 1990. He has always had a close association with mountain rescue and is currently a Vice President of the Wasdale team and honoured us in opening our new base.

John knows this will be a tough challenge which has to be completed within 15 hours, at the age of 55!
