Registered Charity No 1020136
The team relies almost totally on donations received from the public. Charitable gifts are always gratefully received. As well as needing money to replace ageing equipment and vehicles we require funds for more mundane costs such as utilities, fuel and maintenance.
1. Donations
- You can donate online at JustGiving.
- You can post a cheque to the team’s treasurer, the address is at the bottom of this page. Your donation will go further if you complete a Gift Aid form.
2. Gift Aid
Gift Aid allows a charity to reclaim income tax (at the standard rate) on all donations made by tax-payers. Please download, complete and return this form with any donations made by cheque or standing order. JustGiving has an option to allow gift aid to be reclaimed.
3. Give As You Earn
This is a tax free way of giving to charities direct from your pay and many employers have agreed to co-operate. The donation is deducted from your pay before your tax deduction is calculated. The Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team is registered with the Charities Aid Foundation.
If this appeals to you, please approach your employer with these details:
| Charity Name: | Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team |
| Bank Code: | 40-22-16 |
| Bank Account Number: | 110 647 38 |
| Give As You Earn registered number: | 000488583 – see registration certificate here |
| Charity Commission registered number: | 1020136 |
4. Bankers Order
Why not let your bank do the work for you – just print out this form and send it to the Team Treasurer.
5. Your Will
Many more people are now making provisions in their wills for Mountain Rescue. This thoughtful gesture is helping to ensure the future financial security of Mountain Rescue Teams.
Thank you very much for your support, the team would not be able to function without it!
The Team’s Treasurer is:

I am planning to take part in a 10K run in April to raise funds for your team in memory of my late husband whose fall on Scafell Pike you attended in 2007.
My brother and daughter will also be running with me to support me (I am not a runner!!)
I wondered if you have any t-shirts we could buy to wear on the day to help publicise the fantastic work you do.
If you could send me details that would be great.
Thanks,
Judith

Hi Judith
Richard (our treasurer) tried to reply by email but the address you gave seems not to work. Here is his reply.
