Following our recent Facebook post about Incident 154, which gained significant attention, we were contacted by the team at Silva UK. They had seen the story and the challenges faced during that long night on the fells, including the loss of two of our head torches.
In an incredibly thoughtful gesture, Silva reached out and have now sent us six Silva Explore 5 head torches, along with a kind letter recognising the work our volunteers do and offering their support. Their generosity means a great deal to us — especially at this time of year, when reliable lighting is essential for safe operations in the mountains.
We’re hugely grateful to Silva UK for stepping in unprompted and helping us replace lost kit. Acts of kindness like this make a real difference to a volunteer team with significant operational costs and equipment demands.
