Cumbria Police called the team regarding a walker who had sustained a lower leg injury near Blea Tarn and was unable to bear weight.
The Team Leader made a full callout. Once on scene, Remote Rescue Medical Technicians (RRMTs) assessed and treated the walker. He was then stretchered off the hill without incident to the road. Family members were then able to transport him to the hospital from the valley in their own vehicle.
We wish the walker a swift recovery!

Incident started at 12:44 and ended at 16:07 making 3.4 hrs in total. There were 19 Wasdale team members involved and the incident occured at NY165009. Total rescuer hours: 65
