The team was called three times on Friday by Cumbria Police. In the first alert a party of two walkers were attempting to ascend from Mickledore via Broad Stand to Sca Fell summit. They had gone off route and found themselves cragfast near Mickledore Chimney.

A full team callout was made for the rope rescue. Due to slightly low numbers declared initially, Duddon and Furness MRT were asked to support, but subsequently were stood down when more team members became available.

Following the hard slog up via Green How up to the top of Broad Stand, team members established a rope system for safety and descended to the walkers. They were found in a precarious position. Happily they were unhurt, and were able to make the assisted scramble to safe ground with the assistance of team members and ropes for security.

Following de-rigging everyone made their way back to Brackenclose for a debrief and then to base to reset the vehicles. Thanks to Duddon and Furness MRT for their willingness to help , it is much appreciated.

Incident started at 11:44 and ended at 19:35 making 7.9 hrs in total. There were 23 Wasdale team members involved and the incident occured at NY 21000 06800. Total rescuer hours: 182
