Upper Eskdale

The team were called out to assist Langdale Ambleside MRT searching for a male walker lost on Crinkle Crags. After a long night the search was called off without finding the missing person. He turned up in Borrowdale the following morning before the search recommenced. Read more here.

Police received a call from a member of the public who reported a red flare from Scafell.  The report was investigated but no action was taken.  Well intentioned false alarm.  Incident stood down at 11.14 p.m. with no further action required.
