Lake District Rescue on Channel 4

The four one hour episodes can be viewed each Friday at 8:00 pm over the next four weeks. Channel 4’s reach will be to a much wider and larger viewer audience and is a measure of the programmes success by the film maker Summer Films working closely with our mountain rescue volunteer teams. In addition to actual rescue footage taken by the team members on body cams, the programme includes the backstories of the volunteers, their day time jobs, their families and employers who support them.

A timely reminder to the increasing numbers of visitors who will be coming to the Lake District this summer to enjoy the great outdoors whilst respecting the local environment, the working farming communities and being more aware of the risks that can be avoided by being prepared and staying safe.
