- iPhone Emergency SOS
Cumbria Police received a call via the iPhone Emergency Satellite SMS service about a female who had slipped and injured her ankle, causing a compound fracture. The team and North West Air Ambulance Charity (Helimed 08) deployed to assist. The ankle was bandaged up and immobilised, and the casualty was transferred to the aircraft for onward transfer to hospital.
