North West Ambulance Service contacted Wasdale MRT regarding a male who had fallen near the stream crossing and sustained an upper‑leg injury. The Team Leader investigated and initiated a team callout. However, as the first MRT members arrived at the car park, the casualty had already been assisted down off the hill by others.
The casualty was assessed and found to have a suspected strain or sprain. He was advised to seek further medical assessment. With the situation resolved, all other responding team members were stood down.
Incident started at 15:50 and ended at 17:45 making 1.9 hrs in total. There were 13 Wasdale team members involved and the incident occured at NY 18718 07255. Total rescuer hours: 25
