Cumbria Police received a call regarding a male who had injured his knee while ghyll scrambling. His friends had managed to get him out of the water but he was unable to weight‑bear.
MRT deployed to the location, assessed the casualty, and stretchered him down to the roadside, where he was handed over to friends for onward transport to hospital.
Incident started at 16:01 and ended at 19:00 making 3 hrs in total. There were 19 Wasdale team members involved and the incident occured at NY 15970 06788. Total rescuer hours: 57
