Cumbria Police received a call from Coastguard UK Mission Control Centre, via a Garmin emergency activation, about a knee injury in upper Eskdale. Due to limited information, a local team member was deployed directly to locate & assess the casualty. Meanwhile, the rest of the team was assembling for a potential stretcher carry, with Duddon & Furness MRT also called for additional numbers.
Once on scene, the casualty was assessed, their knee strapped up, and they were able to walk out with support. They were dropped off at their vehicle.
