Waberthwaite – Mon 7th Sep 2015 – Callout 50 in 2015

The team was called out to assist Duddon and Furness MRT with a search for a man missing from the Waberthwaite area. Five mountain rescue teams assisted by search dogs searched overnight and through the following day. Just before dark the man was spotted by a member of the public on Raven Crag above the river Esk opposite Muncaster. The team attended, assessed his condition, provided food and water and then stretchered him from the fell to an Ambulance.
