Scafell Pike – Wed 23rd Oct 2002

The Deputy Team leader was called following a report of an overdue Mother and son who had been coming down off Scafell Pike. Preliminary arrangements were being made to investigate the situation when they eventually turned up safe and well. The incident was a well intentioned 999 call.

Eskdale – Sat 19th Oct 2002

Whitehaven Police called the team to attend to a climber who had fallen 10 metres in Eskdale and suffered multiple injuries. Wasdale – Sat 5th Oct 2002

Whilst the team were preparing to search for the missing man ( incident 48), a group of walkers approached with their colleague who had sustained a dislocated shoulder whilst descending Mickledore on Scafell Pike.
