A call from Cumbria Police was received about a walker on an ascent of Scafell Pike. She was reported to have collapsed and was in and out of consciousness. A passing doctor had stopped to help.
A full callout was made quickly and the team responded. Once on scene a handover was received from the doctor and an assessment made. After some treatment, a routine stretcher carry was subsequently made to Brackenclose to an awaiting ambulance, before onward transfer to hospital.
We wish the walker well in her recovery, and hope she returns soon to complete her walk. Thanks again to the passing doctor for his help and hope he still made the cutoff on the race he was undertaking.
