Cumbria Police called the team yesterday evening about four inexperienced walkers who were benighted at Beck Head after misjudging the timing of their descent back to the valley floor. They were cold, uninjured, but needed assistance to descend safely.
The team was deployed and located the walkers in the position indicated by PhoneFind. After being given some additional warm jackets and head torches they were all able to walk off back to Wasdale Head.
We hope everyone had a good Christmas and stays safe out on the fells in the current fine weather 🙏🏼
