Diagnosis

Cumbria Police received a call from a male reporting that his partner was struggling to descend, feeling dizzy, unwell, and nauseous. Base contacted them and obtained a location on the Brown Tongue path.

As team members were already on the hill dealing with Incident 123, they were diverted to assist. The female was assessed, given food and water, and initially walked off at a slow pace. However, she later became unable to continue, and the team stretchered her for the final 500m.

She was handed over to the care of her partner and advised to attend hospital for further checks.

 

Incident started at 15:48 and ended at 20:28 making 4.7 hrs in total. There were 17 Wasdale team members involved and the incident occured at NY19890 07346. Total rescuer hours: 80
