Cumbria – Sat 2nd Dec 2023

The team supported the multi-agency response to the recent snow event in Cumbria. Three 4×4 vehicles were tasked to RV at Grizebeck and assist Cumbria Police to search abandoned vehicles. After a long night in difficult conditions all team members returned safely back to base.

Coniston – Thu 20th Jul 2023

A call was received from Cumbria Police, however it was quickly established that this was not in our area and that the receiving team had all the resources they needed to respond quickly. As such the tasking was transferred across, and the team was stood down.

Wasdale Head – Mon 17th Jul 2023

A call was received from Cumbria Police. One of their cars was at Wasdale Head when they noticed flashing lights from torches towards the Screes. Wastwater Screes – Mon 19th Sep 2022

In another Screes callout we were alerted by Cumbria Police to help an injured dog who was unable to carry on. The boat team responded again and was able to relocate the dog and their owners to much friendlier ground on the opposite side of the lake.
