A call was taken from Cumbria Police about an overdue inexperienced walker from a walk up Scafell Pike. She had separated from the rest of her walking group and was not there either on their return to the valley floor.
After gathering information, the Team Leader made a full callout for a search. However, shortly afterwards the good news was received that the walker had returned. She had taken a fall but was walked off the fell by other walkers. Thanks to them for helping another walker in trouble.
Incident started at 21:55 and ended at 23:32 making 1.6 hrs in total. There were 11 Wasdale team members involved and the incident occured at NY 20983 07587. Total rescuer hours: 18
