As incident 44 was ongoing on Broad Stand, a further call was received from Cumbria Police. A walker had fallen and injured his ankle.
The location was near Looking Stead, and on confirming an accurate location, it was established that it was in Cockermouth MRT’s area. A quick handover was made and they successfully completed the rescue with assistance from a Coastguard helicopter.
