The team was called by DEFRA to provide a team of swift water rescue technicians to attend the flooding on the East Coast. Six Wasdale and two Duddon and Furness team members made the long journey through the night to Essex to support the local emergency services. In the end, the team’s services were not needed and they returned that afternoon.

Incident started at 20:00 and ended at 18:00 making 22 hrs in total. There were 6 Wasdale team members involved. Total rescuer hours: 132
