Lingcove Bridge, Upper Eskdale – Sun 27th Aug 2017 – Callout 67 in 2017

A walker sustained an ankle injury whilst walking near Lingcove Bridge in Eskdale. The injury was assessed by the Team Doctor before being splinted and then they were taken by stretcher to the waiting ambulance.

We were called by Police about a young man who had fallen at the swimming pools in the River Esk near Lingcove Bridge and dislocated his shoulder. Lingcove Bridge, Upper Eskdale – Sat 27th Jun 2015 – Callout 26 in 2015

We were called out to a man swimming in the pools near Lingcove Bridge, Eskdale, who suffered a head injury whilst entering the water. NWAA were first on scene and provided casualty care. The team then packaged the casualty for evacuation, then RAF Boulmer winched him aboard and flew him to hospital.
