We were called by Cumbria Police about two walkers who were overdue from a walk up Scafell Pike. It was not possible to make contact with them, but messages sent to a relative earlier had suggested various locations. Eventually they were able to make phone contact and they were at Oliver Gill on the western flank of Scafell. They were given instructions to direct them back to Wasdale valley, and got back safe and sound.
Incident started at 03:04 and ended at 08:47 making 5.7 hrs in total. There were 2 Wasdale team members involved and the incident occured at NY 211067. Total rescuer hours: 11
