Piers Gill, Scafell Pike

In the first incident of the year, a group of walkers reported themselves lost on Scafell Pike. The team leader made contact and used Sarloc to determine the location, on the western banks of Piers Gill. Directions were given over the phone and fortunately they were able to use the compass function of their phone to head in the right direction and they made their own way off the hill.

When heading up the hill please ensure you are equipped with a map, compass and other equipment.
