A short alert was quickly resolved after a call from Cumbria Police about a party of three walkers. They had set off at 4pm and were considered overdue and could not be contacted. The exact route was unknown, and they were not equipped to be on the fell at night.
However, as the Team Leader was making initial enquiries there was another call confirming that the party had safely returned to their accommodation.
Incident started at 21:52 and ended at 22:11 making 0.3 hrs in total. There was 1 Wasdale team member involved. Total rescuer hours: 0.3
