A brief alert when a call was received from Cumbria Police about a party of 3 walkers. They had been wild camping on Scafell Pike the night before but had not made contact since. A family member was concerned for their safety and had made the call.
As the Team Leader was gathering further information, the good news came in that the group had simply had no mobile signal on their onward walk to Elterwater. Once signal had returned they had phoned home and let the family member know that they were safe and well. A good outcome.
Incident started at 13:33 and ended at 13:59 making 0.4 hrs in total. There was 1 Wasdale team member involved and the incident occured at NY 21690 07308. Total rescuer hours: 0.4
