We were called by Police about a group of walkers who reported themselves to be lost somewhere near the top and Scafell Pike and due to their lack of equipment also cold & wet. A callout response was made but fortunately they managed to bump into some generous walkers who helped walk them off without us needing to go on the hill.
We would remind all hill goers they have a duty to themselves and their families to go on the mountains properly prepared.
Incident started at 13:32 and ended at 14:00 making 0.5 hrs in total. There were 16 Wasdale team members involved. Total rescuer hours: 8
