Stretcher loaded, last minute checks before the descent


The team were called out at about 2.10am to attend a walker in his 60s who had injured his knee on descent from Scafell Pike. His leg was splinted before he was loaded onto a stretcher for the descent to Brakenclose. 12 team members were involved in the carry down which took about an hour.

Incident started at 02:10 and ended at 05:45 making 3.6 hrs in total. There were 14 Wasdale team members involved and the incident occured at NY 20656 07445 (altitude 635 m). Total rescuer hours: 50
