Eskdale – Mon 10th Sep 2018

The team was called after reports of shouting could be heard from Fisher Ground campsite in the area above Milkingstead. Upon investigation nothing was found and the shouting was put down to a local farmer gathering his sheep.

Scafell Pike – Sat 14th Jul 2018

We were called by Police about a walker who had slipped whilst descending Scafell Pike between the slabs and ‘Pea Boulder’  injuring their ankle. Broad Stand, Scafell – Thu 5th Jul 2018

The team was called to assist a walker who had taken a fall on the scree under Scafell East Buttress. With the help of Duddon and Furness Mountain Rescue Team, North West Air Ambulance from Blackpool and Rescue 199 from Prestwick the casualty was packaged and winched for transport to Hospital. Hardknott Fort – Tue 26th Jun 2018

We were called by our colleagues in Langdale Team about a walker at Hardknott Fort who was feeling unwell. NWAS paramedics also attended the incident and the walker was assessed on the scene before being walked back to the road then given a lift to the waiting ambulance at Brotherikeld.
