A call was received from Cumbria Police about 2 walkers who had lost the path in mist on Scafell Pike/Great End. It was not possible to contact them and Phone Find didn’t locate on this occasion but fortunately the mist cleared enough for them to get their bearings and make their own way off the hill.
Incident started at 12:55 and ended at 16:21 making 3.4 hrs in total. There were 3 Wasdale team members involved and the incident occured at NY 224 079. Total rescuer hours: 10
