A call was received from Cumbria Police about a walker who had taken a fall, injuring an ankle and preventing further movement.
A full team callout was swiftly made and team members made their way to the scene in very pleasant conditions. After an assessment and splinting of the ankle she was transferred to the stretcher for the carry down to Brackenclose and then onwards transport to hospital for further assessment and treatment. We wish the walker a quick recovery.
Incident started at 15:57 and ended at 21:45 making 5.8 hrs in total. There were 15 Wasdale team members involved and the incident occured at NY 207075. Total rescuer hours: 87
