The team was on standyby for five Duke of Edinburgh’s Award walkers who were 4 hours overdue at their checkpoint at the top of Hardknott Pass. The group turned up an hour later.
The team was called out to assist a car stranded on Hardknott Pass. On arrival the car was empty; further enquires determined that the occupants were safe in the valley. We left the car in situ.

Call came in from Cumbria Police for an injured cyclist on Hardknott Pass road. The female cyclist was with another male cyclist when she left the road on a very sharp bend and continued down the fell side for around 50m. Around 17 team members attended the incident along with Read more…
