Upper Eskdale

The team were called out to assist Langdale Ambleside MRT searching for a male walker lost on Crinkle Crags. After a long night the search was called off without finding the missing person. He turned up in Borrowdale the following morning before the search recommenced. Read more here.

Police received a call from a member of the public who reported a red flare from Scafell.  The report was investigated but no action was taken.  Well intentioned false alarm.  Incident stood down at 11.14 p.m. with no further action required.

Eskdale Valley

Police were contacted by a party of young people who reported they were now stuck in the Eskdale valley due to nightfall.  An initial search of nearby paths was mounted to locate the party who were eventually found at a nearby pub.
