We were called by Cumbria Police about two walkers with a dog reporting themselves soaking wet, cold and lost on Scafell Pike.
However the police call coordinates put them on the flanks of Sca Fell above Black Crag. After advice from the Team Leader the walkers continued their descent downhill and once below the cloud base and within sight of the car park they were content to continue unaided and the team was stood down.
Incident started at 15:37 and ended at 16:41 making 1.1 hrs in total. There were 2 Wasdale team members involved and the incident occured at NY 199069. Total rescuer hours: 2.2
