Upper Eskdale

The team were called out to assist Langdale Ambleside MRT searching for a male walker lost on Crinkle Crags. After a long night the search was called off without finding the missing person. He turned up in Borrowdale the following morning before the search recommenced. Read more here.

Eskdale Valley

Police were contacted by a party of young people who reported they were now stuck in the Eskdale valley due to nightfall.  An initial search of nearby paths was mounted to locate the party who were eventually found at a nearby pub. Scafell Pike

A local man had gone for a walk on Scafell Pike but didn’t return home at the expected time, so the police were contacted. Whilst one team member went to investigate the car parks at Wasdale Head the walker turned up safe and well. Incident closed.

Dent Fell

Whilst fell running on Dent Fell (near Egremont) a group runners noticed an abandoned tent near the summit. The tent contained articles that suggested that there had been celebrations and that the occupant(s) may have still been out on the fell. The police asked the team to investigate. 5 team Read more…
