The team were called to attend a walker with a back injury on Broad Crag. A Sea King helicopter from RAF Leconfield was training in the area and was able to winch the casualty aboard and fly them to Furness General Hospital, Barrow. The incident was stood down with only a few team members on the fell with other members standing by at Brackenclose and base in case they were required.
Incident started at 14:37 and ended at 16:30 making 1.9 hrs in total. There were 14 Wasdale team members involved. Total rescuer hours: 27
