The team was called out after a report of people getting into difficulty on Wastwater. We launched our boat and searched the banks of the lake to confirm that the people had managed to make their own way off the lake.

We were contacted by Police about a man on the 3 peaks who was struggling to descend Scafell Pike due to a knee injury. He was given pain relief on scene and then stretchered down to Brackenclose. Incident closed 09:30. 13 team members involved.
The team was asked to respond to a report of shouts for help. A few team members walked up and found no evidence of anyone in distress. The hill was very busy and since nobody else had reported anything the team stood down.

Call for a group of 9 reported lost on Great Gable. Significant work was done making enquiries without mounting a callout and in the end they may their own way back to their vehicle.

The team was called out at around 05:00 to help a female walker who had a suspected broken leg on Scafell Pike. She was treated by the team and transferred by stretcher to an ambulance waiting in the valley.
We were contacted about a party of eleven 3 peakers reported overdue by their driver at Seathwaite, Borrowdale. It turned out that the party had descended into Wasdale by accident and had tried to contact their driver but the message didn’t get through due to poor mobile phone reception.
We were contacted, along with Cockermouth MRT by the Police about a group of 3 ladies who had gone walking on the Pillar – Steeple ridge and had yet to return. They arrived back whilst Cockermouth were speaking with the informant on the phone.
