Yewbarrow – Wed 1st Jun 2016

The team was called out to assist a male who had become crag fast on steep ground adjacent to Dore Head screes. The team located the man, scrambled to him, and roped him to safer ground. He kindly bought us all a drink (soft drink) from the Wasdale Head Inn.

Great Gable – Wed 16th Sep 2015

We were called by the Police about 2 walkers who reported themselves cragfast whilst descending from Great Gable to Beck Head. On phoning them back they had regained the path and were able to continue on their way.

Scafell – Sat 22nd Aug 2015

The team was called out to attend a pair cragfast descending from Scafell. Whilst we were ascending to Hollowstones the police informed us that passing walkers had helped the pair to safety and we returned to our vehicles. Thanks to Chris Himsworth for the photos.

Scafell – Mon 3rd Aug 2015

We were called by Police about a couple with a dog reported to be cragfast somewhere on the steep ground between Black Crag and Scafell. Whilst we were making our way to the scene they were helped off by members of the public and we stood down.
