The team was called by Police in the early hours about a walker reported overdue from a trip up Scafell Pike. The Police made a number of further enquiries by phone and also sent a patrol up the valley to see if the missing person’s car could be found. In the end they were found safe & well at the Wasdale Head Inn and the call was a case of miscommunication and we were fortunately stood down
Incident started at 00:13 and ended at 02:00 making 1.8 hrs in total. There was 1 Wasdale team member involved. Total rescuer hours: 1.8
