Mobile phone call to the police from a walker who had heard shouts for help from the area below Lingmel Crags. Subsequent calls confirmed that there was a genuine person in difficulty. Full call out and 19 team members attended. Before the team could get to the location (Piers Gill), the male walker had managed to make contact with passing walkers who had assisted him to get himself out of the gulley. Piers Gill is one of the team’s incident black spots. Incident closed at 6.30 p.m.
