They had received a 999 call from someone (with a mobile phone), reporting that a 44 yr old man had collapsed with hypothermia, somewhere between Broad Crag and the summit of Scafell Pike. Call from Whitehaven Police regarding shouts for help and whistles from the Screes. Informant was at the Wasdale Youth Hostel.
