Cumbria Police notified us about a father and son who had strayed off the path in the mist on Silver How in Eskdale. The Team Leader was able to direct them back on the path using Phonefind, and the walkers then managed to get themselves off the hill. The message that they were safely down came through just as a second team member was about to go and check the campsite, so he was stood down.
Incident started at 19:00 and ended at 21:47 making 2.8 hrs in total. There were 2 Wasdale team members involved and the incident occured at SD 192984. Total rescuer hours: 6
