Scafell Pike – Wed 29th Jan 2014

The team was called out to rescue a pair of lost walkers on the summit of Scafell Pike. In snowy conditions 8 team members searched and found them on the summit plateau. They were walked down to Wasdale Head via Hollowstones. Incident closed about 22:00.

Scafell Pike – Sun 20th Jan 2013

The team was called out to attend a walker who had fallen and sustained a head injury. He was on the main Scafell Pike path and by the time we arrived was suffering from hypothermia. We gave casualty care and stretchered him down to an ambulance at Brackenclose.

A group of four 16-17 year old DoE doing gold award reported a female member of their party as cold and potentially hypothermic near Scafell Pike. The team were called to rescue a family who were in trouble following their descent from Scafell Pike to Seathwaite.
