The team were paged by the police to deal with a mobile ‘999’ on Scafell. A lone male walker was descending back to Boot in Eskdale on a due south bearing when he came to crags and became unsure of his location. He was in low cloud and judging by his described location was probably above Horn Crag on Slight Side. The team leader was getting more information when 3 other walkers turned up at the same location and were happy to walk him off. Incident closed at 3.40 p.m. No team members deployed hence not recorded as official rescue.

Incident started at 15:12 and ended at 15:40 making 0.5 hrs in total. There was 1 Wasdale team member involved and the incident occured at NY2105 0512 (altitude 740 m). Total rescuer hours: 0.5
