While the team was mobilising for the previous incident, a call came in from Cumbria Police to say 2 walkers had reported themselves stuck on steep unstable ground. Three walkers reported themselves to Cumbria Police as being stuck on steep, loose scree, having missed the descent path of Great Gable. The team was able to locate the three and safely assist them off the difficult ground with the aid of ropes and then escorted them back to Wasdale.
We were called by Police about 2 walkers who’d become stuck on the large boulder field on the Wasdale Screes. They were located by a team member on foot then given a lift back to the pump house in the team boat.

Whilst the Lingmell incident was ongoing we were called by Police about 2 further walkers reported crag fast on the ledge above Broad Stand.
